Silky Smooth (Without Flash)

Silky Smooth (Without Flash)

The design of the site is modern and minimalistic, but it's far from simple. The Talent Business wanted some neat embellishments to the site to provide elegant fades and transitions so we turned to the new kids on the block (HTML5, CSS3 & AJAX) to provide us with the tools to fade in only the content that is changing, change the home page background depending on the location you hover over as well as some little content tweaks to help the navigation of the core pages. All built on our home-grown CMS allowing The Talent Business to edit all the content whenever they choose.

Loading Content Without Reloading The Page

Loading Content Without Reloading The Page

Standard page transitions consist of the browser blanking out the page after you click a link to a new one, while it then waits to reload the new page. Our site uses some clever tech to update only the content on the page that is changing, so the masthead and menu remain visible while the text content fades in. We were able to do this without reloading the page and whilst also updating the web address to show the correct page now being viewed. Magic.

Lets not forget, for those browsers that don't support this tech, the site will rollback to ensure visitors can still get around (albeit, without all the bells and whistles)

The Illusion Of Space

The Illusion Of Space

All the content has been specifically written to be concise, clean and 'above the fold', with typically only a couple of paragraphs per page. However when it came to listing The Talent Business staff with all their contact details we were presented with more copy than usual. An effective solution to this is the contact card that appears when you hover over the staff, allowing users to quickly determine if that is the contact best suited for their needs, before  clicking into the profile page.

Multiple Sites, Same Content Admin

Multiple Sites, Same Content Admin

The Talent Business runs an annual competition called CREAM and wanted a "separate" site for its content. The theming and layout features of our CMS enabled us to deliver these two sites within one system. Allowing content to be shared between the two sites and all managed by the same team, whilst always maintaining the brand created.
