I’ve been working on a jbilling install whenever I’ve had a moment over the past few nights.

From what I’ve seen, this is a very promising piece of open source work that is remarkably simple and yet remarkably powerful. Just what you want in any app really.

I thought I’d list the steps I’ve taken to get it to where I am now… that is a working install running on mysql on Fedora Core 6.

What’s needed from Java…

You just need a install of JRE rather than any of the more involved java development setups to keep jbilling happy and this was done with a simple

yum install jre

Grab the latest jbilling zip from sourceforge or via the jbilling site..
